We are now looking for a Corporate Legal Director to join our team, who will continue to build and develop our Corporate legal function.

    About the role
    In the role of Corporate Legal Director, you hold a key position within The Swedish Club. You will be in charge of our Corporate Legal Function, consisting of three other legal professionals. You will have global responsibility for the organisation's legal matters and corporate governance, as well as being involved in the organisation's board work. You are part of our management team and report to our CEO and board. The role involves close collaboration with our entire organisation as well as contact with external stakeholders.

    We want you to be based at our headquarters in Gothenburg, where the majority of our teams are based. Regular travel to our other offices will be an exciting aspect of the role.

    Who are you?
    You have a Master of Laws and extensive experience in business law, regulatory work, and corporate governance. You likely come from the insurance industry, alternatively from banking or a law firm. You have a solid understanding of sanctions and risk management issues. Legal expertise and experience in maritime law are considered advantageous.

    As a leader, you are confident, communicative, and supportive. You are accustomed to balancing the legal perspective with the business aspect. You have the ability to combine analysis, structure, and risk assessment with a holistic view of the business.

    To succeed in this role, you also need experience with cross-functional collaborations and their challenges. You have the ability to build strong relationships through strong personal credibility, professionalism, and integrity. Finally, it's important that you have a high level of English proficiency, both verbally and in writing.
